The Mansfield Building Society’s Community Support Scheme has awarded Whitwell Forward £341 to by promotional flyers, tickets and programmes promoting the seventh annual Whitwell Festival.

Whitwell Forward is a small non-profit making group of volunteers supporting community activities and village groups through quality music and theatre events.

Michael Howe, of Whitwell Forward, said: “We would like to thank The Mansfield for the funds to purchase the promotional material. Local residents look forward to this annual event and all profits are given to local clubs and charities.”

The Mansfield’s Information Systems Manager, Brian Seddons, said “We are very pleased to be able to help. Whitwell forward do a great job within the community bringing people together whilst raising essential funds and it was a privilege to be part of the festivities on the day..”
