Serviced industrial plots made available

ASHFIELD District Council deputy leader Don Davis visited Fulwood Park Industrial Estate, Huthwaite, to see the final phase of a development that has just been released to the market by owners Darfish.

In a constrained logistics market, the site offers 14.1 acres (5.7 hectares) of serviced development land available either as a whole or in smaller plots from 1.9 acres (0.77 hectares). Planning permission has already been granted on the final phase.

Coun Davis, said: “I am delighted to see this key strategic site being brought to the market as it demonstrates great confidence in the area by the private sector. It’s a great opportunity for both local and inward investment and I wish the development every success.”

The final phase of the development, which is being marketed by Innes England and Salloway, forms part of the established industrial estate.

It is one of the region’s key development sites earmarked by Invest Ashfield and Mansfield as an important opportunity for the area.

Darren Faulkner of owners Darfish, said: “This final phase of the development at Fulwood Park offers a unique opportunity within the current market for occupiers looking to buy land and build their own units – it’s very unusual to have that option on such a large and well-located site as Fulwood Park.”

Fulwood Park is located off Junction 28 of the M1 in an area which has undergone significant regeneration and has become a favoured location for many manufacturers and distribution operations including The Co-Operative, UDG, Alloga and Parker Knoll.

Director at Innes England, Craig Straw, said: “Fulwood Park is a highly successful commercial park in the popular north Nottinghamshire area and we are very pleased to be bringing forward this final phase of development.

“The option to acquire the site in its entirety or in smaller packages without developer tie – as well as the design and build opportunities released to market already, means that this is a hugely versatile site for a host of potential businesses looking to locate here.”

Joint agent Stephen Salloway added: “In an industrial logistics market with high demand and limited availability of good quality sites, serviced development land free of developer-tie is a rare commodity. With unrestricted 24/7 operating hours available and excellent accessibility to a skilled workforce, Fulwood Park has a pedigree of attracting major employers like Mertux, Synseal and Door Stop in previous phases.”
