An internationally-renowned business has joined the News Journal.

Plastek UK Ltd (Europe), based on Crown Farm Way, Forest Town, has agreed to join our list of page sponsors in our print edition, who support our work in spreading the good news that is still happening across Mansfield, Ashfield, Warsop, and Sherwood.

Award-winning Plastek, known for its manufacturing innovation, joins Adkin Sinclair, Asmech Systems Ltd, Beeley Hawley & Co Ltd, Belvoir!, Mansfield Building Society, Mansfield Education Hub, in partnership with Barnsley College, Pinders, R.E.A.L. Education, Saville House School, and West Nottinghamshire College as regular backers of this newspaper.

The News Journal relies on advertising and sponsorship to showcase the heartwarming and generous work that is thriving in our communities, as well as our successful businesses, despite the unprecedented effects of Covid-19 over the past two years.

Mick Shaw, vice-president Plastek UK,said it was happy to sponsor one of our pages for a year to help the News Journal to continue to share the tremendous work that is being done by charities, businesses, organisations, volunteers, individuals and more.

Mick said it was important that local papers were able to spread positive news stories to celebrate the good things that often go unnoticed in our towns and villages.

“It is our pleasure to support our local News Journal at a time when businesses emerging from the pandemic need help to continue to grow,” he added.

“We are very lucky to have a stable business that weathered the storm and it is important to us to back the good work that the News Journal continuously does for the community.

“The local community really does benefit from the value that it adds to our media.”

Plastek UK Ltd (Europe) is a leading manufacturer of custom injection and blow moulded components for the packaging industry, offering packaging solutions to multi-national businesses in the personal care, pharmaceutical, household, and food and beverage markets.
