NBV teams up with Notts TV

NBV Enterprise Solutions has teamed up with former BBC business correspondent and owner of Robin Hood Media, Rob Pittam, to bring local entrepreneurs’ business news in his weekly show Working Week.

Presented by Rob Pittam and former Eastenders actor, Des Coleman, the programme shows businesses in action while offering expert tips in areas such as raising finance, marketing, networking, and generating sales and custom.

Rob said: “Working Week is designed to make business news and issues accessible to a general audience.

“By filming real businesses we can engage our viewers with interesting stories and pictures. It also means viewers can empathise with people as they build up their own companies and maybe inspire the feeling of ‘I can do that’ in our audience.”

Rob had previously worked as a BBC business correspondent for 20 years, working on programmes such as Working Lunch on BBC2 and appearing on BBC Breakfast News.

Returning to Nottingham, Rob drew upon his experience to launch Robin Hood Media, and forged links with Notts TV who will air his weekly business show.

Rob said: “After 10years as a BBC business correspondent, I wanted to use the skills I’d developed to explain business to a wider audience.

“Working with NBV’s advisers will mean we can offer our viewers expert information. For Working Week it means we can provide credible, authoritative insights and boost the programme’s credibility as a business show.

“For the NBV clients’ that we feature, it will bring valuable publicity and exposure to the public of Nottingham. It also means they’ll have a professionally filmed and crafted video of their business, for free.”

NBV’s deputy CEO, Joanna Clarke, who featured in an early episode of Working Week said: “It is a real pleasure for myself and the team at NBV to work with Rob and be a part of Working Week.

“I’m confident that this programme will be of real benefit to those in the region who are thinking of starting a business and give them an insight, from the comfort of their own homes, about what is involved in being your own boss.

“NBV will be covering key business topics ranging from sourcing finance to marketing and generating customers, which will be of equal value to start-ups and those who have been trading for a while. And if they need additional information, viewers can always come along to NBV to meet the adviser team in person.”

Working Week is aired on Freeview channel 8 and Virgin 159, every Tuesday.
