Mansfield a great place to do business

Exhibition partners are looking forward to showcasing their business at the Be, See and Do Business event on 29th May, organised by Mansfield 2020, Mansfield BID, A Star Media, MDC.

The business community will be working in partnership with 50 exhibitors to “put Mansfield on the map.”

The event is the second of its kind for Mansfield 2020 with key business partners. It also hosted the entrepreneurial weekend in partnership with MDC.

Stopford Associates will take part in the event and recently supported the Entrepreneurial weekend event also held in Mansfield town centre. They are passionate about the Mansfield business community and work continually to encourage growth in the local area.

Brian Stopford said: “There are so many brilliant businesses in Mansfield and this event will provide the fantastic opportunity to showcase their products and services and encourage people to buy local first.”

A Star Media’s director Katrina Atherton said: “Being from Mansfield and having a business here, I’m always amazed at the brilliant businesses in our area.

“Having the opportunity to see and meet all sorts of businesses is a great way to showcase what’s on offer, share our ideas for the future and create some pride in the area.’

NBs CEO Richard Dearden said: “Mansfield is an exciting place to do business and is home to a thriving business community, which NBV is proud to support.’

The event will not just be a business hub for the day, it will also offer advice and support on a wide range of business issues. Representatives from Mansfield District Council regeneration, planning and licensing department will be available to provide guidance, including funding for established businesses.

There is a scheduled Q & A session to help boost business, ranging from red tape, apprenticeships and exporting.

Mark Slade, managing partner at Fidler and Pepper, said: “We are delighted to be involved in this event because it raises the profile of local businesses. It also give the Mansfield business community the opportunity to work in partnership in helping to achieve this goal.”

Mansfield BID’s Sarah Nelson said: “This event provides the opportunity to access advice or guidance you may need for running or developing a business or indeed setting up a business. The event is completely free; please pop along from 10am–3pm.”
