A home care provider has opened a new service, promising to bring 30 jobs in its first year.

Bluebird Care Mansfield and Ashfield, based at Ransom Wood Business Park, Mansfield, held a community celebration event to mark the opening.

Among the guests meeting the new home care team was Mansfield mayor Andy Abrahams, who cut a ribbon to launch the service.

“Bluebird Care Mansfield and Ashfield is going to start its journey to address unnecessary GP appointments and even hospital visits by offering good quality care in the locality, which is a benefit to the people of Mansfield and Ashfield,” he said. “Good luck on that fantastic journey.”

The launch was also attended by healthcare professionals, as Bluebird Care seeks to make connections between health and care services so that people can make the most of joined up services that reduce administration and waiting times.

Nabeel Khan, director of Bluebird Care Mansfield and Ashfield, said: “We are delighted to expand to our new site in Mansfield, and are excited about the opportunity this will give us to reach more people with compassionate care that helps them to stay at home, safely and independently, for longer.

“I look forward to strengthening our relationships with local organisations and healthcare teams to bring the best care to more people than ever before.”

Nabeel has been joined by registered manager Sarah Chapman as they expand the care service into the new area.

Sarah, who grew up in Nottingham and has always lived in the area, has been a registered nurse for more than 15 years, and will be responsible for welcoming the new team.

Now the home care provider is looking for kind, hard-working people to fill care and office support roles.
