Mansfield-based fire, security and communications specialists TIS teamed up with GENT by Honeywell, leading manufacturer of fire detection and alarm products, to provide CPD certified training to industry professionals.

Total Integrated Solutions (TIS) staged a series of technical training sessions at its offices in Mansfield and Nottingham to review and discuss the findings of a report into a fire tragedy at a care home in Scotland.

During the CPD-certified session, participants were able to gain an understanding of how the fire developed in 2004 and the multiple failings that led to the deaths of 14 residents.

All attendees were awarded a certificate of completion from Gent by Honeywell.

Simon Morris, head of design at TIS, said: “Fire safety is an extremely high priority for TIS, especially in situations where the most vulnerable people in society are at risk.

“We are delighted to be working with Gent to deliver such an effective and informative training session and plan to organise another series of sessions in 2016.”

TIS recently received a prestigious award from GENT in recognition of 15 years of service, support and commitment to excellence as a GENT 24 Systems Integrator.
