Family law specialist gains Children Panel accreditation

Family law specialist Natalie Potter, a partner at Fidler & Pepper Solicitors, has been accredited with a quality mark for legal professionals working in child-related matters.

Following a rigorous accreditation process, Natalie has been accepted onto the Law Society’s Children Panel as an adult representative.

This means that she can demonstrate that she has, and will continue to maintain, high levels of knowledge, skills, experience and practice in the area of children law.

Natalie said: “This is a very proud moment for me, as to be accepted onto the panel is a major achievement for solicitors working in this area.

“The law can be complex and when children are involved it makes it even more important to be able to deal with cases in a professional and approachable manner.”

She added: “People need to know that their legal support is of the highest level, and that they can have confidence in their solicitor. That’s why this accreditation is so important and I am delighted to have received it.”

The Children Law Accreditation Scheme covers all types of children law work. Law Society accredited children lawyers are specialists in dealing with the areas of the law related to children.

They can help with matters including working out arrangements for children during a divorce, helping people with child support issues, child custody issues, family breakdowns, adoption, and rights to see children.

In addition, accredited Children Law specialists can support children and adults whose children are ‘at risk’ or have been taken into care.

Natalie is also an accredited member of the Law Society’s Family Panel, and a member of Resolution, an organisation of family lawyers and other professionals in England and Wales who believe in “a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters”.
