A group of advisers who believe the commercial property market is set to boom have formed the North Notts Commercial Property Group to ensure potential buyers have access to expert professional advice.

The firms that have teamed together include The Royal Bank of Scotland, Chartered Accountants McGregors Corporate, Hopkins Solicitors, commercial property consultants FHP, Elevation Investment Management and insurance brokers Ellerton Knight.

The idea to form the alliance came from McGregors’ corporate director Mr Phil Cudworth.

“This year has started positively and business owners are talking more optimistically about the future, predicting business growth and the need to expand into larger property,” he said.

“In pooling our skills together we have been able to prepare a package of services that will help identify suitable properties, provide access to funding, ensure the appropriate accounting and tax planning advice is given, and ensure the investment has insurance protection.”

The group meets every month to discuss potential deals and invites a new guest to each meeting. Alison North, the Invest in Ashfield and Mansfield project manager at Mansfield District Council, attended the last meeting to learn more about the group’s activities and discuss how the council can help bring further investment to the region.

The group has advised on commercial property transactions valued at more than￡400,000, including the letting of a 90,000ft² industrial unit on Lower Oakham Way, Mansfield, to a large printing company on a 10-year lease.
