Edwinstowe-based construction company Robert Woodhead is celebrating the long service of site manager Don Wilson, who has marked 50 years with the business.
Don joined in 1965 as a joinery apprentice straight from school and has no plans to retire.
“I still enjoy the job because every project is different and even aged 65 I get to learn new things,” he said.
“I still get excited when we are starting work on a new project and the latest one I’ve been lucky enough to manage is a restoration project at Newstead Abbey.”
Don was presented with a long service award to commemorate his milestone by managing director David Woodhead and finance director Hilary Cheshire.
