Building on success

A Taylor Wimpey site manager is celebrating after earning a prestigious prize for his commitment to building top-quality homes for Nottinghamshire property-seekers.

Mark Jefferson was presented with the National House-Building Council (NHBC) Seal of Excellence at the regional Pride in the Job awards ceremony held in Leicester for his work at Taylor Wimpey’s Kings Acre development in Clipstone.

The Seal of Excellence is one of the top honours handed out by the NHBC each year – to Site Managers who’ve already scooped a Pride in the Job Quality Award – in recognition of dedication to producing high-quality new homes and to maintaining exceptional standards in every aspect of building work.

Mark says: “It was fantastic to win a Seal of Excellence award and it’s really testament to the hard work of the whole team at Kings Acre, not just me.

“They’re a great bunch and are 100% committed to excellence at every stage of the build process. We all take real pride in our work and to have this recognised by the NHBC is just brilliant.”

Seal of Excellence winners really are the cream of the crop when it comes to delivering outstanding new homes and maintaining the safest and most efficient building sites.

The 130 recipients are whittled down from 430 Quality Award winners who are, in turn, selected from more than 15,000 NHBC-registered housebuilders running sites up and down the UK.

Each site manager undergoes a stringent selection process with independent judges visiting developments at key stages of construction to assess them on all aspects of house building.

Dave Beeston, Production Director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: “I’d like to congratulate Mark for winning a Seal of Excellence Award. It quite rightly recognises his hard work and dedication to the job and provides purchasers with the assurance that the new homes at Kings Acre meet the highest levels of quality.”
