Law firm Fidler & Pepper Solicitors is celebrating following the news that one of its star apprentices has picked up an award.

Sian Allsop took home the Apprentice of the Year award at a celebration of local business held by the Chad newspaper group, which is local to the firm’s offices in Mansfield and Ashfield.

Sian said: “I can’t believe it really as there are so many good apprentices out there. I would like to thank the team at Fidler & Pepper for their support. It has been great to learn while actually doing the job and feeling part of the team. ”

Mark Slade, managing partner at Fidler & Pepper, said: “It is true that if you have the right people, your business will work a lot better and that’s why we invest time and resource into making sure we have a great team here.

“Sian has shown a tremendous attitude to learning and to developing her skills and knowledge and we’re delighted that she has picked up this accolade so early in her career in the legal industry.”

Mark added: “Apprentices are a great way of growing your own staff. You can train them in how you work and they become a part of the team right from the start. I would recommend that other businesses who do not have apprentices to seriously look at what they are missing.”
