There were seven awards presented at the A Night To Celebrate Mansfield Town Centre Awards event, organised by Mansfield BID at the Civic Corner, Mansfield Civic Centre.

Winners were:

Courage In Adversity — Hayley Wood, Wood’s of Westgate.
Best New Business — The Little Lotion Company, Four Seasons Shopping Centre.
Belief And Enthusiasm For Your Town — Sam McFarlane, Millets, West Gate.
Best Hospitality award — Caroline Dennington, The Court House.
Best Team In The Town — The Lash & Brow Bar, Market Place.
Best Night-Time Venue — Rush Late Bar and Lexis Night Club.

Awards were presented by Mansfield MP Ben Bradley, county councillor Keith Girling, Mansfield mayor Andy Abrahams, Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner Caroline Henry, Mansfield Town FC captain Aden Flint, Mansfield BID chairman Gary Jordan, and last year’s Courage in Adversity winner, Angelina Hardy-Taylor.

BID chief executive Jay Rowlinson said the aim of the awards, held for a second year, was threefold.

“Firstly, to ensure that town centre businesses and their employees who work to give Mansfield residents the best shopping experience have a fun night out,” he added.

“Secondly, it recognises those who have gone above and beyond, not only for their businesses but also for the people who use our town centre.

“Thirdly, it ensures that all businesses, town centre users, local authorities, police, and many more come together as one to recognise the importance of having a quality town centre — and to support everyone trying to make it the best it can be.

“By working together, believing together, and communicating together, we can continue to fight through difficult times and continue to develop our town centre and wider district into a place where the town can achieve its full potential.

“It was truly a fantastic night, and I would like to say a big thank you to our sponsors, Nottinghamshire County Council, and to all who attended to ensure that the event was the biggest and best awards night in Mansfield.”
