Heavy machinery moving specialists Joseph Merritt Group Plc, of Kirkby, has further invested in its transport fleet with the purchase of a new Nooteboom trailer.

The four-axle semi low-loader cost £120,000 and will be used primarily to transport the company’s fleet of 36 Te Versa-Lift 60/80 forklift trucks.

Managing director James Merritt said: “We are primarily an engineering business that specialises in the removal, transport and installation of heavy machinery.

“This requires us to have a continuous programme of reinvestment in our transport and lifting equipment.

“Ensuring we offer a machinery moving service using a modern fleet of vehicles is an important facilitator in winning new work as we are acting as an extension of our clients brand.”
