The Sutton branch of Mencap has received a £1,000 donation from the Amazon fulfilment centre in the town.
The charity, which supports and campaigns on behalf of people with learning disabilities, said it would use the donation to support volunteers to access work experience in the store in the Idlewells centre.
Vivek Khanka, general manager at Amazon Sutton, said: “Mencap offers important programmes and resources to people with learning difficulties in Sutton and we’re proud to support its efforts.”
Linsey Wild, head of retail and trading at Mencap, added: “We appreciate this support from the Amazon team. The donation will help to bolster our work in the Sutton community.”
