Academy welcomes new principal

Posted onPosted on 6th May

Mansfield’s Queen Elizabeth’s Academy has said farewell to one principal and welcomed another.

Kimberley Willmot (top), principal for the past three years, has joined the executive team of David Ross Education Trust as its director of standards.

She has been succeeded at Queen Elizabeth’s by vice-principal Donna Percival (below).

During her time at the academy Kimberley implemented a grammar-style education for all students, improved behaviour and expectations, and lead a culture of kindness and respect through the academy’s Christian ethos.

“It has been both an honour and a privilege to have been part of this fantastic academy’s history,” she said.

“I am so incredibly proud of our staff and students and of the transformation that has occurred here. I know the academy will continue to go from strength to strength.”

Queen Elizabeth’s Academy is part of the Diverse Academies Trust and a partner school of the Diocese of Southwell and Nottingham.
