Parents’ ratings take nursery into region’s top 20

Parents have rated Cherubs Ladybrook, in Mansfield as one of the top 20 nurseries out of 914 early years settings in the East Midlands, based on reviews on daynurseries.co.uk.

Nurseries were rated on overall standard; facilities and outside space; learning; resources, equipment and ICT; care; activities; staff; food and nutrition; management; cleanliness; safeguarding; and value for money.

Karen Creighton, nursery manager of Cherubs Ladybrook, said it was a hub for the local community.

“Receiving this award shows us that we are making such a difference to the children in our local area,” she said.

“It is always great to receive recognition for your nursery but this award means so much more as it comes from the parents and carers who use our nursery every day and know exactly how we care for their children.

“Being with such great children is what I really enjoy and I feel very privileged to be able to work in this profession. This kind of award makes me very proud of the professional and highly-motivated practitioners I work with.”

Amanda Hopkins, reviews manager of daynurseries.co.uk, said: “We would like to congratulate Cherubs Ladybrook on being rated by parents as a top nursery in the East Midlands. Being chosen as one of the best nurseries by family and carers of children that attend the setting is a huge achievement.

“This year has been a huge challenge for nurseries, many of whom were offering childcare to vulnerable and keyworker children during lockdown and have now opened up fully, giving parents and children that vital return to ‘normality’.

“We hope these awards will boost the spirits of nursery staff and give parents valuable guidance in choosing the right nursery for their child.

“Reviews of our Top 20 nurseries show these settings stimulate and nurture children, enhancing their social and emotional wellbeing as well as their learning.”
