ATTFE College, which has campuses over four sites – Sutton, Mansfield, Ollerton and Retford – has not allowed being in coronavirus lockdown to dampen students’ spirits.

This week they have celebrated Chinese New Year across all their curriculum in a variety of fun and engaging ways.

Learners have enjoyed researching and discussing the origins of Chinese New Year and how it is celebrated, as well as learning about the Year of the Ox and finding out their animal zodiac sign and the characteristics linked to this.

Hair and Beauty learners recreated oriental looks and nail art whilst Creative Design learners made decorative fans and decorations.

The Chinese theme was also embedded in the weekly Well-being activities through relaxation techniques and tai chi exercises.
