A total of 500 girls aged five to seven from throughout Nottinghamshire partied at Wheelgate Park, Farnsfield, to mark 30 years of Rainbows — Girlguiding’s section for its youngest members.

Joining in the celebrations were members of 10th Mansfield Rainbows (above).

Girlguiding Nottingham-shire’s County Commissioner Jackie Brocklehurst said: “Being part of Rainbows is so important to these youngsters.

“Joining Girlguiding at this age is all about sharing fun and friendship, and there was plenty of both on show at this special birthday party.”
