Home Bargains to open new store in Suton

Home Bargains is investing approximately £500,000 in its new store in Sutton-in-Ashfield, which will be officially opened at 8am on Saturday, 3 September 2016.

The event will feature a special appearance from Mr Muscle, as well as children’s favourite Stuart the Minion from the hit Universal Pictures films Minions and Despicable Me, who will arrive at 11am.

The company, which is one of the UK’s largest family-run retailers, is creating up to 20 new jobs in the community with its store on Station Road.

This will be the second Home Bargains store to open in Sutton-in-Ashfield, as the retailer moves to its new premises from Portland Retail Park. It joins over 400 outlets across the UK. Opening approximately 50 stores a year, Home Bargains is bucking current trends in the industry.

Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: “We’re thrilled to be launching our new store in Sutton in Ashfield and look forward to welcoming new customers through the doors.”

The 14,000 sq ft former Aldi unit is adjacent to The Range, with nearby retailers including Lidl and Matalan. The store will offer shoppers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food.

Joe added: “Station Road will be a great location for us and we’re proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
