Youth festivals for the summer

With the summer holidays almost here, Nottinghamshire County Council is preparing to host a number of summer festivals for young people.

Coun Liz Plant, Committee Vice-Chairman for Children and Young People’s Services, at the council, said: “There are number of festivals thatwill take place during the summer holidays across the county and there promises to be something for everyone.

“There will be a wide range of adrenaline-fuelled activities, music and craft opportunities and the chance for young people to showcase their talents, meet new people and have lots of fun.

“The events are organised by the county council’s youth service and there will be support from a number of organisations who will have display stands at the festivals.

“Our summer youth festivals are a great opportunity to promote the achievements of many young people and highlight the work that goes on within our youth service.
