North Notts Cat Rescue, whose volunteers look after stray, sick and abandoned cats, is holding several fundraising events over the next few months.

A Midsummer Market will be held at Calverton Village Hall on Sunday, 6th July, from 2pm to 5pm. It will include crafts, homemade cakes, hot food, and a tombola.

Shirebrook Miners’ Welfare is the venue for Club Tropicana: 80s v 90s Night  on Friday, 25th July, from 7.30pm to 11.30pm, while Bentinck Miners’ Welfare will host a Summer Festival on Sunday, 27th July, from 12noon to 6pm.

An Evening With The Trent Sisters is planned for Triple ‘S’ Snooker and Social Club, Skegby, on Saturday 30th August, from 7.30pm to 11.30pm.

The fundraiser will feature Palma Violet, Foxi Cummings, and Lushies Lips and is billed as being not for the faint-hearted. Lip syncing, bingo, raffles and more are promised for an evening for those aged 18plus.
