The Sherwood Forest Trust Woodland Festival, at Thoresby Park on 26th and 27th July, from 10am to 4pm each day, promises a free family day out celebrating our woodlands, wildlife, and heritage.
There will be the chance to:
- Sketch the forest with local artist Martin Clarkson
- Forage for wild treats with Kindful and Wild
- Go exploring wit Hairy Tom’s Forest School treasure hunts
- Hear magical tales from the Wild Man of the Woods
- Discover the world of bees with Wild Hill Apiary
- Meet the Sheriff of Nottingham
The festival will also feature more than 40 stalls and entertainers, and most workshops and activities arey free to join. There will be food stalls, a traditional carousel, and archery with the Sherwood Outlaws (fees apply).
Parking is £5 for the day. Some stalls and activities may not accept card payments and require cash.
