Wellbeing at the forefront of ATTFE College work

Posted onPosted on 1st Feb

ATTFE College, which has campuses in Sutton, Ollerton, Retford and Mansfield, says it is putting wellbeing at the forefront of its work.

This year the college has launched weekly wellbeing sessions and activities for staff, learners and the community to take part in.

These can be accessed on the ATTFE College YouTube channel and on the ATTFE College in the Community Facebook page.

Katie Barrett, head of learner experience, said: “We are keen to support as many people as possible during the pandemic as wellbeing can really plummet during these challenging times.

“The loss of routine, feeling isolated, along with juggling home schooling and working from home can take its toll on our Mental Health. We wanted to provide Well-being resources which our staff and learners can access anytime to help support them.”

Tai Chi tutor Ken Mead has created meditation and tai chi sessions whilst creative design tutor Jane Dovey is providing many creative ideas to help calm the mind and promote relaxation.

Tutor Anna Sanderson added: “Ken’s videos are great for helping you to feel both energised and calm at the same time. I’m finding them really beneficial during Lockdown and it’s great that you can access them on YouTube anytime.”
