Five junior members of Mansfield Triathlon Club enjoyed VIP status at the 2019 Accenture World Triathlon Mixed Relay Nottingham.

Part of the ITU World Triathlon Series, the event welcomed some of the world’s top triathletes as they raced around Victoria Embankment in Nottingham.

Emily Tansley, Charlie Pemberton, Esme White, Alfie Brown, Izzie Brown and club coach John Tansley enjoyed an inspirational front row experience as they watched the action close-up from the VIP enclosure, took part in a flag ceremony before the race and had an opportunity to meet the international triathletes after the race.

The group also met fellow Mansfield athlete Rebecca Adlington, (above), who hosts one of the event’s races.

The invitations to the VIP experience were made available by the British Triathlon Federation.
