Nominations are still being accepted for the Mansfield Volunteer Awards.

The annual celebration of the work of volunteers in seven categories is run by the Mansfield CVS, which has been supporting the community and voluntary sector in Mansfield for almost 40 years, together with Ladybrook Enterprises Ltd, Mansfield District Council, Mansfield Woodhouse Community Development Group, Nottinghamshire County Council and SF Media.

The awards take place on 6th June at the John Fretwell Sporting Complex, Sookholme, and nominations are accepted up to 26th April.

A spokesman for the awards said: “If you know somebody who volunteers or works in the voluntary sector and goes over and above their duties, or a business that gives its time for free to benefit the local community, then why not nominate them for an award.”
