The Amazon Breast Cancer Support Group has presented £10,000 to the King’s Mill Hospital Gamma Scanner Appeal — taking the appeal’s total to £450,000.

The new gamma scanner will provide nuclear technology imaging and include CT options to deliver state-of-the-art scanning results for patients at the Sutton hospital.

Pictured standing, from left, are consultant radiologist Sue Creary, Amazon members Janet, Sue, Maureen, Keith, Sandra and Geoff, and superintendent radiographer Rob Bradley. Seated are Amazons Beryl, Angie and Ann.

The Amazons, based at the hospital, provide support, awareness and fundraising for breast cancer patients.
