Step into past as local history fair returns

Posted onPosted on 28th Apr

People have the chance to explore the county’s heritage when The Great Nottinghamshire Local History Fair returns to Mansfield as a live, in-person event after going totally digital during lockdown.

Back for its ninth year, the event at Mansfield Library, on Sunday, 15 May, from 11am to 3pm, is Inspire’s biggest annual heritage event and promises to be a free fun day out for all the family.

Visitors can explore local history displays, find out about family history, browse books for sale and celebrate Nottinghamshire by getting hands-on with heritage.

Mansfield and District Male Voice Choir will be singing in the auditorium at 1pm as part of the event and the new library café will be open for refreshments.

There’s no need to book, just turn up on the day.
