Records broken at swimming meet

Mansfield Swimming Club hosted the Major Oak Open meet at Water Meadows, Mansfield, attracting swimmers from clubs across the county, including Sutton, Sherwood, Falcon, Nottingham Leander, Radford, Arnold, Bassetlaw SS, Bramcote, CABSC, Carlton Forum, City of Derby, Hucknall and Linby Dolphins, Kimberley, Newark, Nottingham Northern, Retford, Ripley, Southwell, and Worksop Dolphins.

Mansfield entered 42 swimmers in 231 events over the two days. There were 142 personal bests, 104 top three placings, and 12 new records set.

Sutton were named top club, Sutton’s Liam Hill was top boy, and Marija Romanovskaja, of Newark, was top girl.
