Probus club welcomes new president

Posted onPosted on 7th Sep

The first meeting of Warsop Men’s Probus Club for 18 months saw president Hugh Ashton step down after 10 years.

Brian Bradley, who has been vice-president for the last six years, is the new president.

Roy Woolley was voted the new treasurer after the sad death of Bill Power earlier this year.

The group meets on the third Wednesday of the month, in the Plough public house on Church Street, at 10.30am.

There is a guest speaker at most meetings and some of the topics so far covered include Crich Tramway Museum, Warsop Tudor Barn, and air cabin crew.

The September meeting speaker is Mr M Hancock, who will talk about his travels around the world.

The October meeting speaker is Angela Morris, of Ashfield Heritage Society.

The club is looking for new members; the only criteria is you have to be retired.

For further information contact Brian on 079778 79993.
