Obstacle course fun is launched at swim complex

Posted onPosted on 6th Apr

An inflatable obstacle course for all the family, AquaChallenge, has been launched at Mansfield’s Water Meadows Swimming and Fitness Complex.

The 30-metre long inflatable includes Basher Wall, Demolition Ball, Spikey Hump and many more obstacles on the water for people to try to get over or around.

Serco Leisure, the managing agent for the site, and Mansfield District Leisure Trust (MDLT) funded the equipment, with £10,000 coming from the trust.

Geoff Waller, chairman of MDLT, said: “As a trust, we want to get as many people as possible into our centres, enjoying their active leisure time.

“The AquaChallenge looks certain to encourage new people into the pool at Water Meadows, giving them a taste of the kind of fun, active MDLT experience our teams provide at each of our four facilities.”

The AquaChallenge is for anyone aged 6 and above. Sessions last for one hour, plus customers get a free 40 minutes in the Pirate Pool, with its flumes and waves.
