Notts musicians appear on radio charity album

Posted onPosted on 5th Sep

Musicians from across Nottinghamshire have contributed tracks to charity album The Saturday Hours – Live In The Studio.

It has been put together by The Saturday Hours, a radio show on Chesterfield’s Elastic FM.

Guests of the show often perform live in the studio and those tracks feature on the album.

Presenter John J. Steesmson said: “We have had some fantastic unsigned musicians on our show and some of the live performances we have had from them have been incredible.

“I thought it would be such a shame for them never to be heard again so we came up with the idea of releasing the album.”

All of the proceeds from the album will be donated to Winston’s Wish, a charity that supports bereaved children.

Steemson added: “Winston’s Wish is a fantastic charity, I know of the work they do personally and it is a charity close to my heart.

“The album is out there now and will continue to raise money for them, pretty much forever.

“Every download or stream raises a little money and every penny of it will be going to them to continue their work.”

Some of the artists featuring on the album include Nottinghamshire’s own Ryan Brooks, Jake Burns, Andrew Cox, Ben Haynes and Notts Factor winner Remy.

The album is available now on all digital music platforms.
