Mad Hatter’s Tea Party success

Posted onPosted on 17th Jul
Academy Transformation Trust Further Education, based in Sutton, hosted a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Sutton Lawn with youngsters from Kingsway Primary School, Kirkby, and Sutton’s Croft Primary and Leamington Primary Academy schools attending.
Among the guests were Alice, the Mad Hatter, and the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland.
A spokesperson said: “Everyone had a fabulous time participating in the Mad Hatter’s Dash and Dance. Thank you to everyone who made it a magical day to remember.”
The event aimed to support the delivery of the National School Games priorities, engaging young people in physical activity and movement in a fun and creative way.
Youngsters took part in a Mad Hatter’s dash around the park, as well as an Alice in Wonderland-themed dance.
ATTFE College was supported by local partners, including Believe Academy and B Taylors and Son Transport, who provided a truck that was a stage for the event. Nottinghamshire Police were also present, and the children enjoyed looking at a police van and taking part in activities provided by the local police team.
“The event provided an inspiring opportunity for young people to take part in physical  and cultural activity in a local park while celebrating British values in a fun and creative way. We are grateful for all the support provided by the partners involved to make this such a special event for all the young people attending,” said Dianne Holmes, head of Curriculum Strategy and Partnerships, ATTFE College.
