Inspire Learning’s study programmes for young people aged 16-24, delivered in partnership with Nottinghamshire County Council, are designed to give young people a first step in to further study, employment, traineeships or apprenticeships. Young people work towards a recognised qualification, plus have the opportunity to re-sit GCSE Maths and English.

Young people can enrol on to an Inspire Learning study programme at any time during the year. Study programmes are delivered from nine bases across Nottinghamshire: Arnold Redhill Young People’s Centre, Hucknall Young People’s Centre, Sutton in Ashfield (Eastbourne House), Eastwood Young People’s Centre, MyPlace Mansfield, Newark Library, Retford Young People’s Centre, Worksop The Crossing and Stapleford Young People’s Centre.

As well as being an Ofsted registered good provider, Inspire Learning is winner of the Tes FE award 2020 for Adult and Community Learning Provider of the Year and shortlisted for the Tes FE Outstanding GCSE Resits Provision Award.

Ian Bond, Inspire Learning director, said: “Our 2019/20 academic year GCSE results build on the previous years’ excellent performance and exceeded national pass rates. 64% of our students achieved a grade 4 or above in Maths (the national benchmark is 33%) and 49% achieved a grade 4 or above in English (the national benchmark is 41%). We offer one to one tutor support and our group sizes are small.

“Plus, young people earn a bursary of up to £100 per month which does not affect child benefit, so I’d encourage anyone not sure about joining us to come along on 26 November to meet some of our friendly tutors and get more information.”
