Hospice caring for children launches Christmas Appeal

Posted onPosted on 5th Dec

Rainbows Hospice, which cares for children and young people from Nottinghamshir, with life-limiting illnesses, has launched its Christmas Appeal.

It costs over £6million each year to run the hospice, which supports more than 400 youngsters and many bereaved families. Last year’s appeal raised £37,000 for Rainbows.

Helen Lee-Smith, head of individual giving at Rainbows, said: “We believe that Christmas is a time for giving and we hope so much that people will support our appeal.

“With less than 20 percent of our income coming from Government and statutory sources, we almost completely rely on our supporters to enable us to open our doors every day. Thank you from the bottom of all of our hearts, your donation really does make Christmas special for someone.”
