Getting the biodiversity bug as part of action plan!

Posted onPosted on 5th Jun

The workforce at Mansfield baby company Mayborn Group — the parent group for Tommee Tippee — has designed and built a bug mansion at its Hamilton Way site.

To mark World Environment Day and 30 Days Wild, the team worked with community partner Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust on the project to support biodiversity.

The trust provided guidance on creating the ideal habitat for pollinators, insects, and small creatures. It also carried out a follow-up biodiversity assessment to help the company improve and measure the impact of its efforts at the site.

Leysa Relf, global head of ESG and safety at Mayborn Group, said: “This activity supports our Planet-care initiative and our target to implement thriving ecosystems, with regenerated biodiversity, at our manufacturing sites.

“To support this, our UK factory has developed a Biodiversity Action Plan for 2025.

“It was a fantastic day of teamwork, learning, and environmental action. The bug mansion will provide a safe space for important wildlife and stands as a reminder of our climate action goal to drive environmental stewardship to best care for our planet.”
