A flypast by a Spitfire and Hurricane is one of the highlights planned at a family fun day and music festival in Rainworth.
Renfest, which is put on by Team Vinyl, a Rainworth-based fundraising group, will again be fundraising for local charities and children’s sports groups.
Team Vinyl has supported local charities for several years, raising more than £30,000.
Renfest will be held on Saturday, 12th July, from 12noon until 10pm at Rainworth Village Hall and the bottom of Kirklington Road, which will be closed to traffic.
This year’s event will again be compered by Steve Brailsford, a former local resident now living in Scarborough who returns each year to support the festival.
It also features local artists and bands, including Glamatize, Yellow Moon, Invictus 59, PAM, Indigo Shark and James Dalby, with others to be confirmed.
As well as live music, there will be stalls, fairground rides, a rodeo bull, tombola stalls, a large raffle with dozens of prizes, and further activities for all ages to enjoy.
Blidworth fire crew will be attending with an appliance and new to the festival this year is the flypast by a Spitfire and Hurricane at 1pm.
Drinks and refreshments will be available from the village hall, The Inkpot, and The Venue.
A spokesperson said: “There will be some fabulous stalls, great bands, and amazing food and drink.
“It is not long now to wait until Renfest 2025, so come and spend an amazing day with us, raising money for charities.
“Hopefully the weather will be in our favour, and the people of Rainworth come out to have a fantastic day.
“All proceeds from the raffle will be shared between local charities and local children’s sports groups.”
