An ambassador at Mansfield Business Improvement District will be able to use his skills as a former police officer in his new role at the town centre organisation.

Daryl McGreade has been appointed as Mansfield BID’s new Business Crime Partnership (BCP) coordinator.

Daryl, who served for 14 years with Nottinghamshire Police before joining the BID in 2014, will act as a liaison between partners such as the BID, businesses, police, and local authorities.

The BCP was set up to coordinate the sharing of knowledge and information between organisations, helping to reduce business crime and improving communication.

As part of his new role, Daryl will be helping to roll out ACIS 2 (Active Crime Intelligence System 2), the very latest in technology that shares information in a confidential way.

Daryl said: “Information is key to reducing incidences of business crime, and a key part of my new role is to help co-ordinate and share that information to the relevant people.

“BCP meetings, hosted at the BID’s own offices, offer a structured and formal arena for people to tackle the issues that affect them. By working together, partners can make a real difference.”
