Events to help Mansfield and Ashfield businesses

Posted onPosted on 30th Jun

Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 is hosting a number of events online in July to help businesses during the uncertain times of the coronavirus crisis.

The first is the opening of a series of three digital workshops to help get businesses online, on Thursday 2nd, July.

Led by Chris Morledge, from EduTrips, it will look at available digital strategy and tools, and how to improve efficiency and the customer experience.

The following day, from 10am-11.30am, there is the chance to join small businesses in Mansfield and Warsop at a free Google Digital Garage webinar on digital marketing with Mansfield MP Ben Bradley.

On Monday, 6th July, at 8am there is the chance to quiz the Mayor of Mansfield, Andy Abrahams, and on Thursday, 9th July (8.30am) and Tuesday, 21st July (12:30pm) businesses can chat to others virtually.

2020 said: “We thought many businesses would really benefit from the opportunity to just get to know one another over video meeting and a coffee.

“There are no speakers, no sales gimmicks, just straight forward relationship building. The virtual rooms are small, with no more than six people, so everyone can hear what each other is saying and feel that they are being listened to.”

The remaining two digital workshops are on the 15th and 23rd July respectively.

On 15th July, from 9am to 10am, there will be an introduction to Microsoft Office 365 apps by Mark Cawar, of Feather Partnership.

On 23rd July, Nigel Lamb, from Xposure, will guide businesses through two case studies of bricks and mortar businesses, one from retail and a service based business, to demonstrate how the majority can make the transition to online sales.

2020’s monthly virtual breakfast meeting is on 30th July, from 7.40am.
