Easter fun for youngsters in Mansfield town centre

Posted onPosted on 14th Mar

Eagle-eyed youngsters can take part in a free fun Easter trail around Mansfield town centre during the school holidays thanks to the I Love Mansfield team, part of Mansfield BID.

Fluffy Easter bunnies and chicks will be hidden in the shop windows of businesses participating in the event.

Sue Rogers, of the BID, said: “There are prizes to be won. People can pick up one of our Easter Activity Booklets, from 5th April, with the trail clues and enjoy following the trail around the shops looking for hidden bunnies or chicks.”

Booklets can be collected from the Four Seasons Shopping Centre’s Customer Service Desk, Mansfield Bus Station and participating shops where an Easter Trail poster is displayed. The trail runs from Friday 5th to Monday 22nd April.

There will also be seasonal fun trails for youngsters at Rufford Country Park and Sherwood Forest.

Mansfield Museum is hosting and Easter egg hunt, art, sports and film activities over the Easter holidays.

The Artbeat activities, which run from 10am to 1pm, include Creative Journalling with Bus and Bird Arts, the chance to design your own healthy eating and exercise planner, as well as making origami bunny bookmarks, Easter egg wreaths and Easter cards.

There is also the chance to learn about healthy eating and a free screening of Inside Out (U). A free multi-sports session will be run by Mansfield District Leisure Trust on Thursday, 11th April. It is suitable for all ages, but under-8s must be accompanied by a participating adult.
