Dinosaur footprints lead to Jurassic event

Posted onPosted on 5th May

Dinosaur lovers are being urged to visit Mansfield town centre in June to enjoy a Jurassic day out.

Families can follow dinosaur footprints leading to the Jurassic-themed event and find out more about the world of the pre-historic creatures.

The free event, on Saturday, 18th June, from 10.30am to 2.30pm, is being organised by the Mansfield BID (Mansfield Business Improvement District).

The star of the show is Zeus, a giant T Rex reaching 12ft in height and 22ft in length.

Free activities include digging up giant dinosaur bones, the chance to chisel little dinosaurs from Jurassic eggs, and hatching your own dinosaur to take home.

Visitors can have their photographs taken with a 5ft dinosaur egg and 4ft bones (pictured right), and climb on board a Jurassic Park-inspired bus for more dinosaur fun and games, with a range of smaller dinosaurs to interact with.

There will also be free Dino wristbands.
