The highly-anticipated Super Saturday easing of coronavirus restrictions was enjoyed safely by customers of popular Italian restaurant and lounge bar, Ciao Bella.

Lockdown has been difficult for the food and drink industry, but the Mansfield business used the time to completely revamp and makeover the Italian restaurant, based on the corner of Nottingham Road and Bath Street.

Owner Tamer Abouelela, who opened the business five years ago, said he wanted to continue to execute his vision and continuously provide a premium experience, atmosphere and ambience to customers from Mansfield and beyond.

Tamer was delighted to welcome back his regular customers and new faces to showcase the changes.

“We were looking forward to welcoming our customers, both old and new,” he said. “We had worked hard while we were closed and had made sure everything was in place to keep our customers safe. Our staff were excited to get back and it went really well.”

The restaurant was fully booked all weekend and customers enjoyed their first meal out in three months.

Tamer and his team worked hard to ensure they were ready to keep everyone as safe as possible from coronavirus.

Customer feedback has been very positive with many commenting on how well organised the venue was and the friendly staff providing a relaxed atmosphere.
