New appointment at Rippon Homes

Mansfield-based housebuilder Rippon Homes has recently welcomed a new architectural technologist to its expanding team.

Gary Wright, 33, had spent eight years working in the architectural sector, before transitioning into the housing industry, in which he spent the past six years.

“I first discovered the job when driving past the Wellow Gardens development in Ollerton, and just out of interest, decided to look up the developer,” Gary explained.

“Upon finding out that it was Rippon, I not only saw that they were local to me, but also that they were advertising for an architectural role.

“The convenience of finding a job well suited to my skills and nearby to where I lived really appealed to me as I was already on the lookout for a new opportunity that would allow me to improve my work/life balance following the previous six years of commuting long distances.”

On a day-to-day basis, Gary’s job sees him producing the technical drawings for Rippon’s upcoming developments, and ensuring that they are delivered on time for the start of construction.

“I have been given an incredibly warm welcome by Rippon and I’m delighted to say that I’m settling in well,” continued Gary.

“Given it’s such a tight-knit team that we have, you can’t help but feel that you’re part of a family, and I’m excited to see what the future might hold.”

Gary, who lives with his wife, Rebecca, also 33, and their two cats, enjoys being in the great outdoors in his spare time. He hikes regularly with Rebecca, and is also a keen fell runner and mountainbiker.

“My love of the outdoors also spills into another passion of mine – photography,” he added.

“While I mostly capture landscapes, the cats often find themselves as the subject behind the lens too!”

Ian Dyke, managing director of Rippon Homes, said: “I would like to wish Gary a very warm welcome to the team.

“He brings an impressive range of experience working in both architecture and the housing industry to the role, and I’m confident that his talents will continue to flourish with us here at Rippon.”
