National success for lash stylist

Posted onPosted on 28th May

A beautician based in Mansfield Woodhouse has been named as Lash Extension Specialist of the Year for Mid England at the second Official Make-up Awards.

Chadè Godber, 32, from Forest Town, set up her beauty business, called Smoke & Mirrors, two years ago from the conservatory at her home.

In September 2017, she moved to Victoria Rose Hair & Beauty, on Dunsil Road, Mansfield Woodhouse, where she expanded her business and specialises in semi-permanent lash extensions, semi-permanent brows and creative/bridal make-up.

As well as winning the Lash Extension Specialist title, Chadè was named as a finalist for Creative Make Up Artist of the Year.

The glamorous awards took place at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel. The winners were chosen by members of the public.

Chadè said: “Thank you to my clients, friends, family and colleagues for all the love and support that has enabled me to pursue my dream career.

“I took a leap two years ago from working in an office to self-employment — it was a risk, but it’s certainly paid off.

“I work extremely hard to ensure all my clients get the best out of their treatments with me.

“It’s such an honour receiving this award and proves to me it’s worth all the hard work and long hours.”
