The Enginuity Skills Awards 2020 will see industry leaders gather to recognise the brilliant apprentices, champions of skills development and innovative engineers tackling society’s biggest challenges, who will ensure the future of a sector that is the backbone of the UK economy.

Lindhurst Engineering Ltd has been nominated for the SME Investment in Skills award, a category created to celebrate businesses of under 250 people that have made a significant and innovative investment in engineering and manufacturing skills in the UK.

Lindhurst Engineering have been commended for demonstrating that all companies, regardless of size, can successfully invest in staff skills training.

Now in its seventh year, the awards are championed by Enginuity (previously Semta); a new engineering skills organisation creating practical skills solutions for individuals, educators and engineering and manufacturing employers, using unmatched industry expertise and data.

Ann Watson, Chief Executive of Enginuity, said of the shortlist: “The calibre of entries this year is the highest yet and it’s great to see the East Midlands so well represented. We look forward to celebrating our industry talent on the 19th March as we take even greater strides towards helping engineers like these change their world and ours.”

The Enginuity Skills Awards 2020 winners will be announced on 19th March at a ceremony bringing together employers, educators, and policymakers in London.

For the first time, tech journalist, STEM ambassador and presenter of Channel 5’s The Gadget Show, Georgie Barrat will host the Awards.
