Jephsons Shopfitters were put under pressure by early Christmas shoppers needing a relaxing environment to recharge their batteries at a Cambridge shopping centre.

When Costa Coffee commissioned Jephsons Shopfitters to complete the fit-out on the two-storey listed building they knew it would come with its own logistical challenges due to the location restrictions. Measures were put in place to ensure other trading stores were not disturbed during the fit-out.

From start to finish the Mansfield-based team took four weeks to transfer the empty shell to a distinctively branded Costa Coffee outlet.

Jephsons project manager Andy Carter said: “Cambridge is obviously a beautiful historic town full of culture and heritage. We have a long-standing relationship with Costa, having worked with them on over 200 projects – so we knew they would want to stay in keeping with the local area and incorporate their branding tastefully in this beautiful listed building.”
