A business entrepreneur is throwing a spotlight on local businesses and how they are adapting to the coronavirus crisis.

Sara Smith, founder of Mansfield-based boutique estate agency Smith & Co and Marketing and Development Group for small businesses (the MAD Club), is hosting virtual interviews to raise the platform of many independent businesses that are going through a difficult time.

Sara said: “Being an independent local business owner, I am a huge advocate for supporting local.

“I have enjoyed being able to showcase some wonderful local businesses and bring them some exposure through social media.

“The way in which they have adapted to the limitations of lockdown is admirable and I am loving shining a light on them.

Sara has dubbed her virtual interviews on Facebook as ‘Isolation Inspiration’ with the business people sharing top tips.

She added: “The comments have driven new business for participating businesses, which is valuable at the best of times but during Covid-19 it’s valuable on many different levels.”
