Free webinars to help businesses recover from pandemic

Posted onPosted on 20th Apr

Free online advice sessions are being offered to Mansfield businesses to help them successfully reopen and recover from the pandemic lockdown.

The webinars are being delivered by Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 on behalf of Mansfield District Council, in partnership with Mansfield BID, Four Seasons Shopping Centre and the European Union Regional Development Fund.

The sessions, to be presented virtually through Zoom, will be held on 29th April, 6th May and 12th May, and will cover visual merchandising, web presence and targeted digital marketing.

Martyn Saxton, the council’s head of planning and regeneration, said: “These free sessions will be an invaluable guide to businesses who will be wanting to make up a lot of lost ground due to the pandemic lockdowns.

“Just knowing how best to lay out your products in a store, how to make the most of your business website and the importance to using social media effectively to aid sales could make a big difference to trading figures.”

“What do your customers see? The layout, smell and positioning of products in your store can all influence customer purchases.”

Website and Social Selling, by Chris Morledge, Copper Bay Digital, Thursday, 6th May, 1pm to 2.30pm.

“Practical website guidance to help you reach and sell to your customers during the recovery.”

Digital Media Marketing, by Trifle Marketing, Mark Dowthwaite and Paul Martin, Wednesday, 12th May, 1pm to 3pm.

“Using the power of social media and digital marketing to rebuild your business after Covid-19. Two thirds of people in Britain use Facebook and it remains the most popular social media platform out there, especially in the UK. But how do you create adverts on social media that engage with your target audience and convert to sales?”
