Former estate agent is sales executive at Harron Homes

Housebuilder Harron Homes has welcomed a former estate agent on board as a new sales executive at its Forest Reach development in Forest Town.

Lorret Cook, 46, started her career as an estate agent at the age of 19, and has spent much of her working life within this profession.

Eventually, Lorret moved into a sales executive role with another housebuilder, before setting her sights on her new job with Harron.

“The main reason that I decided to make the career move was to gain greater independence by working on site,” she explains.

“Being an estate agent was incredibly fast-paced and intense, and while working as a Sales Executive is no different to this, it comes with a greater sense of responsibility because you are effectively the face of the development and will remain the purchaser’s main contact with Harron, even after they move in.

“My job with Harron allows me to enjoy what it was that first attracted me to the property industry – helping people to find their perfect home.

“As an employer, the company appealed to me as I had already heard of them and gained a good understanding of how they operate, and I felt that this would be the ideal fit for me.”

On a day-to-day basis, Lorret’s role involves ensuring that the showhome is well-presented at all times, contacting potential customers, updating those who have reserved with the latest news on the progress of their new house, offering advice to property seekers who walk through the door, and much more.

“While I’ve been able to transfer many of the skills that I learned as an estate agent to my position with Harron, there are lots of new skills I’ve been able to develop too,” she continues.

“For example, by being in frequent, close contact with customers, I’ve built up a much stronger rapport with them than I was ever able to do as an estate agent.

“Of course, being at the development means that this relationship goes beyond the point of sale, as I remain on hand once people move into their new homes, and with myself in the Marketing Suite and the rest of the site team, purchasers can rest assured that they are in safe hands.

“I’m really enjoying being at Forest Reach – the four-bedroom homes that we have here are fantastic and are perfect for growing families, while there are some great schools in the area and strong road links, making the development a “future-proof” place to live.

“Now, I’m relishing the chance to continue within my role, and ensuring that everyone who has bought at Forest Reach is pleased with their purchase and the service they have received from Harron.”

When she’s not at work, Lorret spends plenty of time in the gym, and particularly enjoys taking part in spinning classes.

She also likes taking her 10-year-old son to play football for his local club, West Bridgford FC.

Natalie Griffiths, sales and marketing director for Harron Homes North Midlands, said: “We are thrilled to have someone with such a vast range of experience and industry knowledge as Lorret guiding customers at Forest Reach.

“Her record working within the property sector, coupled with her time previously spent in sales, speaks volumes about her ability, and her willingness to help people find the right home for them is a testament to her character.

“I have every confidence that she will continue to flourish in her role and would like to wish her all the very best of luck on behalf of everyone at Harron.”

There is currently an exciting and exclusive range of four-bedroom homes available to reserve at Forest Reach, with prices starting from £219,995.

However, as Harron does not expect many of these properties to remain on the market for much longer, it is urging anyone who hopes to make a move to the development to get in touch right away.

Forest Reach is located off Newlands Road, Forest Town, Mansfield, NG19 0HX. The Marketing Suite and showhome are open daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm, while the Sales team is contactable on 01623 549001.
