Husband and wife team, Karen and Ben Wheeler, have launched a new office of X-Press Legal Services, a property search company in Nottinghamshire for the local conveyancing sector.

X-Press Legal Services carries out a comprehensive range of property searches, producing the reports required during property transactions. The newly-established office covers Ashfield, Bassetlaw and Mansfield.

Ben and Karen launched the business last month, following successful careers in education, but working together has always been their joint aim. They have always worked to exacting standards and built strong relationships; these transferable skills are proving important in their new business.

The couple are already cultivating relationships with a number of local solicitors. Ben reports: “I’m pleased to say that we’ve hit the ground running. What we’re finding so far is that people appreciate having someone they can speak to and who they can rely on to produce their property searches and reports – dare I say good old fashioned service.

“Naturally, we use the most up-to-date technology but our own meticulous nature and attention to detail make all the difference. Being able to meet the person producing this important part of the conveyancing process makes it much easier for everyone involved in property transactions.”

Karen adds: “Ben and I are thrilled to have gone into business together and take great pride in the work we do. We are really looking forward to working with many more legal firms and conveyancers in the local area.”

The new X-Press Legal Services office offers property searches, environmental and risk reports and residential abortive transaction insurance, as well as many other useful conveyancing related products. From September, Ben and Karen also intend to provide regular opportunities for members of the conveyancing sector to gather, network and find out about the latest changes to the law at CPD accredited events throughout the region.
